Transfer tests gives a good idea of how the drive performs with different size size and file types- compressed in ZIP/ISO format or just a plain dump folder.
Seagate has an advantage in large file size as can be seen in ATTO test. You can see that for smaller compressed file it stays the same level as WD’s 2TB counterpart, but for larger file size, Seagate has a good advantage.
However when it comes to non-zip/ISO transfers, the drive takes little more time than usual compared to other drives. I would have like to these tests to perform as how compressed files transfer tests performs, because when Seagate dashboard does media backup, it does compress the backup, it simple copies those media files, creates a folder in its drive with your user profile name as the folder name and dumps the data.
