Accessories and Specification
MSI also provides an ‘H Connector’, whose function is no different than Asus’ Q-Connector. It makes it easy especially with a motherboard with an all-black PCB layout as you can effortlessly put all the front panel headers on the connector and then install it on the motherboard. Why can’t every motherboard manufacturer do this?
Alas, one which I received with the motherboard was different from the one in the images. Plus the marking on it didn’t make sense. On top of it, the header markings were not on the motherboard, but the manual helped me out with that. The manual is excellent and should help novices with a basic know-how knowledge to know which part goes where thanks to the guides’ illustration. This guide is more detailed than the ones I’ve read in the past.
The specification listed on its website is too vague that it did not include U.2 listing. The following is from the PDF guide and has all the required information.
|CPU||Supports New Intel® Core™ i7 Processor Extreme Edition|

From Hardware BBQ:
This motherboard is excellent. For the features this motherboard provides in an ATX layout, it’s just nice to see a well-organised distribution of components. It’s just one WiFi + BT onboard chip and another gigabit LAN away from easily being called as a feature-rich motherboard. I am not a fan of LEDs flash crazy unlike a certain group of people. I am not also a fan of ‘gaming’ motherboards the ones I’ve seen so far have made a weird perspective. This is a proper feature-rich and mostly fully-loaded motherboard. The amount of USB connectivity it provides, plus U.2 and M.2 expansion option, it will fulfill a lot of needs. Those who prefer CPU air coolers will be happy about the layout, though with something like an NH-D15, understandably they’ll have to check the compatibility depending on which dual-tower/single-tower 140mm CPU heatsink they have. But with something like NH-D15S, you’ll do just fine![/nextpage] [nextpage title=”Purchase Links” ] [box type=”note” ]These are affiliate links where we get a small referral fee if something is purchased from the links above.
