AMD opens a new Global Design Center in Hyderabad

AMD started their new World-Class engineering labs. The new facility is a 175,000 square feet lab with various equipments and office spaces to bring resources for engineers who will be designing the newer SOC (System on Chip) chips. Until now, AMD has their design centers in Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai.

This center is located at Raheja Mindspace HITEC City, Madhapur in Hyderabad and was inaugurated by AMD President and CEO Rory Read.

He said via the press release,”AMD is committed to providing our customers with innovative, tailored technology solutions that empower people and deliver exceptional experiences. Our Hyderabad Design Centre will play an important part in that mission as the team works in-concert with our other design centers around the world to deliver AMD’s next round of innovative products.”

Madhusudan Atre, AMD India’s corporate VP said,“India is a crucial market for AMD, and our design centers in both Hyderabad and Bangalore are key design and development hubs for our business. He further added,”Like our talented engineering teams around the world, the engineers working in AMD’s new Hyderabad Design Center are every bit as focused and committed to the sustained delivery of hardware and software innovations that can help drive the company’s business forward.”

What was not mentioned in the press release is that along with this brand new facility, there was a dedication section made to show off their stuff. AMD India also started a ‘Demo Zone’ section with their systems using AMD APU, CPU, GPU Chipset and also anything with AMD’s tag on it!

AMD has two more Matisse Refresh CPUs- the Ryzen 9 3900XT and the Ryzen 5 3600XT. The leak appeared in Amazon Italy, which pretty much confirms its stocked for retail. According to the listing which is now pulled out, The Ryzen 9 3900XT and the Ryzen 3 3600XT costs €569.69 and €284.84, equivalent to US$ 641 and US$ 320.48. The scheduled launch date is July 7th. The only XT CPU that's not listed but destined to be launched is the Ryzen 7 3800XT.
