Mumbai, India – 05/04/2012 – Cooler Master Co., the industry leader in chassis and high-end PC components today announces the release of it new tower, Cosmos II Ultra Tower. The successor to the venerable Cosmos, this new chassis sets a new benchmark on all counts, be it style, elegance, features or performance. An industry first, this Ultra Tower celebrates two decades of constant innovation and an apt gift to commemorate 20 years of Cooler Master’s existence. And rightly so it has won the prestigious Red Dot Design 2012 award!

Perfection Thy Name

Taking inspiration from Supercars, the Cosmos II reeks of luxury and perfection! Craved out of high-grade aluminium, the sleek exterior follows curves of a Supercar. Imposing, but elegant and artistic, the Cosmos II retains the stoic and trademark pose of the original Cosmos to the T. The structure is reinforced with steel to endure years of beating and optimally place mesh that enhances airflow. Press a button and the aluminium side panel swings open like the doors of a Supercar – a sight to behold!

Extreme Engineering

Engineered to perfection, the Cosmos II offers serious potential for an extreme system builder. The Cosmos II is one of the few chassis that support XL-ATX motherboard form factor. At stock, this tower supports a 240mm radiator near the top. And one more 240mm rad can be added by simply removing the bottom hard drive near the front. If AIO (all-in-one) water coolers are your game, there is enough space to mount them on the rear exhaust port.

The Cosmos II is 20% larger than its predecessor, means oodles of space for everything! It gobbles 13 hard drives without a burp! There are two X-Dock and a separate cooled section that harbours six HDDs. There are 10 expansion slots for 4-way SLI/CrossFire setups and one additional slot that take care of CCFL lighting controls or other PCI extensions. And to top it off, there’s a unique fan controller, which allows on-the-fly changes to fan speed and LED lights at a press of a button.

Spic & Span

Courtesy smart interior design, getting a professional and organised look is a matter of minutes with the Cosmos II. The entire cable management process is simplified by intuitive placement of cut-outs, tool-free mounting, sliding trays and easy to use thumb screws. A large CPU retention hole is present in the tray and supports easy installation of CPU coolers (compatible with LGA2011 & AMD FM1). And to keep dust at bay, the Cosmos II has snap on, easy to use dust filters that simplify the whole maintenance process.

Now, we all know by now that retail price is usually well below MRP, but with Cosmos II Ultra Tower priced at Rs 19,999/- (MRP) with a single year warranty period, You have to wonder: Is this case that damn good??? It goes without saying that Coolermaster is aiming their guns towards uber premium cases that cost a similar price range: Silverstone AND Lian Li.
