Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 Hotfix

Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 hotfix lists many multiplatform issues

CD Projekt Red releases Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 hotfix, for both Xbox and Playstation consoles & the PC. There will also be another rollout of a PC-specific patch soon but this list alone is practically a laundry list. To note, this is the second hotfix. And, likely, this wouldn’t be the only major patch fixes for the game.

The series of unfortunate events

Cyberpunk 2077 was a highly anticipated and advertised game. Understandably, due to intense marketing over the years and the lockdown situation in most countries, the game launch was not something you would expect. While CD Projekt Red did make game launch delays, many agree the game developer should have done the same now rather than putting that pressure on its employees to push out a broken game. The result as we see now. The criticism never ends. But CD Projekt is continuing the unofficial tradition of how not to release a game. But eventually, its something needs to be solved and eventually talked about.

The following are the multi-platform fixes:

Patchwork for the PC platform

There are specific fixes for both the PC and the consoles. A lot of criticisms are on the consoles and eventually, its users started the refund process.  The major issue reported by the PCMR community is on the game’s inability to use AMD Ryzen’s four-core, 8-core, 12-core and 16-core AMD Ryzen CPUs. But apparently, as per joint tests with the chipmaker, this issue affects the six-core-or-less variant of the AMD Ryzen CPUs. There are discussions that contradict this conclusion by CD Projekt Red, claiming that this is not a placebo effect.

We’ll just have to see if PC variations suffer from any hardware-specific issue, or if its something that is fixed with the Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 hotfix

Console refunds

For console users who want refunds, they’ll need to ask the storefront they both the physical copy from. But if you purchased an online copy, you can apple for it from here (Xbox consoles) and here (PlayStation consoles).
