DirectX 12 confirmed, Microsoft to unveil it at GDC ’14

After a very long wait, game developers can now get their hands on Microsoft DirectX 12 by the end of this month (or already did!). As expected,  major graphic chip manufacturers such as AMD, Intel and Nvidia are its partners, but what’s interesting is that Qualcomm snapdragon is also a part of it. The unveiling will be done on March 20th, at the Game Developers conference in San Francisco.

The “DirectX Evolving Microsoft’s Graphics Platform’ presentation will be hosted by graphics development manager Anju Gosalia. The following was the description in the schedule page:

For nearly 20 years, DirectX has been the platform used by game developers to create the fastest, most visually impressive games on the planet.

However, you asked us to do more. You asked us to bring you even closer to the metal and to do so on an unparalleled assortment of hardware. You also asked us for better tools so that you can squeeze every last drop of performance out of your PC, tablet, phone and console.

Come learn our plans to deliver.
