DOOM Official System Specs Revealed

Bethesda released the official system requirement for DOOM which will be out on May 13th. If you’re curious to know if your system can keep up with the game, check the minimum and recommended system specification list below.

  • Minimum:

    • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
    • Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better;
    • 8 GB RAM
    • 55 GB free HDD space
    • NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • Recommended:

    • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
    • Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better;
    • 8 GB RAM
    • 55 GB free HDD space
    • NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better

Apart from the common choice of Windows operating systems, it requires 8GB RAM as a standard and 55 GB of free HDD space. The game requires 64-bit, but many gamers will be good to know that they can game even with GTX 670 or Radeon HD 7870 as an equivalent. If you want the best possible graphic rendering, you’ll need GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290 4GB at least.

The setup requirements are very reasonable that even the PC gamers with limited hardware should be able to play. Many Quake/Unreal fans can relate with this game, so I expect that this game will be loved by a lot of people.

  1. I returned this game to many crashes and blue screens im running i5 3.5GHz 4 core with 16 GB ram ,GPU MSI 270x 1080/ 1400 MHz on a 1080 monitor only finished the campaign and then updated and after that couldn’t even star the game after the update and after trying to reinstall, update drivers , set resolution , set to 2 core , etc, etc, still not working. Amazon gave me my 804 back thank goodness.

    1. that sucks! :(

      I’ve been using DOOM in my GPU benchmark workloads for a while and also completed the game well before including it. No issues (i7 4790k + Z97X Gaming GT + 8GB DDR3 + GTX 1080/1070 and its respective reference variants). This is with the .25 and .36 Nvidia driver.
