HOM introduces affordable 55-inch 4K LED TV in India

HOM, a seemingly new Indian-based manufacturer has released a new 55-inch LED Smart TV with Android 4.4 KitKat. The company has set its 4K Smart TV as an affordable solution priced under Rs. 30,000/-.

The television supports Android Miracast technology. If you pair it with a Miracast compatible device like an Android 4.2 and above smartphone, it transmits ‘HDMI via WiFi’ display signals. Therefore, you can wirelessly stream the phone’s display to the TV. Naturally, the TV will support WiFi and hence native video service like Youtube, Weather Update, games, Live update feeds and a fat burn program. Since the monitor is running Android 4.4 with 1GB RAM, it will work with compatible Android apps from Play Store. The TV has an ethernet port if a hardwired network connection is a possible solution and two USB ports. There are three HDMI ports, 1 VGA and a video component.  A Smart remote is provided which can control devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Infrared used in televisions. The TV is backed up with a 365 days replacement warranty.

To enjoy UHD 4K content DTH and online streaming services in India, 4K Smart TVs are required. But it isn’t widely adopted as 4K TVs pricing is something least to be desired by many.
