Intel Core i7-3910K for LGA 2011 Socket Spotted

Its been known that Intel would be releasing Ivy Bridge-E lineups after 2 months, but C2 stepping based Sandy Bridge-E ‘Core i7-3910K’ processor clocked at 3 GHz is now appeared in roadmaps that retailers have.

The specifications of the chip is uncertain nor its known if this is something that will be available in retail, but most likely it will be a six- core processor and as ‘K’ denotes, it will have an unlocked multiplier. Looking at the fact that i7-3930K costs about $500, this newer processor maybe priced around $400, therefore providing an alternate solution for i7-4770K, but with quad-channel support.Whether or not it will be favoured is something that remains to be seen.
