Intel to show off its 8th Gen CPUs on August 21st

Intel pushing its plans with 8th gen SKUs in response to the Ryzen force

Intel will be live streaming an event globally to showcase its upcoming 8th generation CPUs on 21st August, 8 PM PDT. This livestream can be used on Intel’s on Intel’s Facebook page or on the Intel newsroom. As you would expect, AMD Ryzen and Threadripper caught them and users by surprise. It feels that X299 platform was a bit rushed keep up. Though I can’t talk about it and AMD’s performance, here’s hoping for good solutions on both sides of the coin!

Not much is talked about it, but most likely it will showcase some of the 8th generation desktop CPUs and talk about some of its functions. It includes the Senior VP of client computing group to speak about it and also an emphasis on VR creators and imaging technologist. It also gave an idea of the CPU launch’s time frame as one of the reasons mentioning to keep your purchase decision ready for the holiday season and even before!

They went as far as including the solar eclipse event as a highlight to watch their livestream before it happens (for those who are in Oregon and West Coast, USA). Whether they will eclipse over AMD or be eclipsed is a story that we’ll know eventually. No other information that is given but such a public announcement from Intel’s end is rare. It is uncertain if there would be a media-only briefing about the upcoming SKUs, but time will tell.

But hey, here are Intel’s reasons why you should tune in! And there’s eight of them! Seven for most of us!

Eight Reasons to Tune In

  • Don’t be caught in the dark. Learn how the 8th Gen Intel Core processor family will offer blazing fast performance.
  • Hear directly from Gregory Bryant, senior vice president of the Client Computing Group at Intel, and others about the details on the latest processor family and what it can help you do.
  • Discover how immersive experiences will bring you from spectator to participant with 8th Gen Intel Core processor capabilities.
  • Don’t just take our word for it. See the power of 8th Gen Intel Core technology come to life in the hands of a VR creator and imaging technologist.
  • Get a sneak peek at some of the amazing system designs based on 8th Gen Intel Core processors.
  • Start planning for what new 8th Gen Core processor-based device to purchase in the holiday season and even before.
  • Don’t worry, you won’t miss the solar eclipse. Tune in before it descends upon Oregon and the West Coast and then makes its way across the U.S.
  • See how the 8th Gen Intel Core processor is designed for today and what comes next.

All we can hope is that the 8th gen is an effective CPU. Both CPU companies should innovate and provide excellent solution one after the other. At the end of the day, the consumer gets the choice to make.
