Nvidia unveiled two of its maxwell 2.0 based cards- GTX 980 and the GTX 970. It was expected a lower cost card will arrive. But what was not really expected is that the card is powered by a single PCIe power connector- and has a TDP rated at 150w. This card is expected to be in sub-$200 price segment.
It is rumoured that GTX 960 would be launched by January 22nd, 2015 according to a source. Earlier it was said that it would be based on GM204, but other reports indicated that it would be the GM206 GPU core. Base clock speed is expected to be about 993 MHz with a boost of 1050MHz with VRAM between 3-4GB GDDR5. The Specs and comparison are as follows:
