Disclosure: The H1 SFF PC case is loaned by NZXT for review purpose.
What about the NZXT H1??
The NZXT H1 is the second SFF case that I am testing. What it does stand out, apart from the vertical tower design, is the inclusion of an SFX power supply and a 140mm AIO cooler. With the new SFX PSU form factor, PC case makers can get creative with their SFF designs. But having two components pre-included gives NZXT to have a more uniquely designed PC case. Yes, the H1 looks plain, in tune with just any other NZXT cases. But what makes it impressive is the internal design.
Note that this NZXT H1 is a demo unit that has a complete setup in it. Some accessories would obviously be missing but apart from listing accessories, it doesn’t affect the outcome.
Packaging
The packaging for the NZXT H1 requires more protection as it contains the AIO CPU cooler and the SFX power supply pre-attached in the case. So NZXT used a whole block of corrugated packaging internally. And it does. Since this is a part of the demo system we don’t know the original packaging. But based on what we can see, these blocks should be good enough to protect the whole content.

Clearly, the first thing you’ll notice is the PSU specification. NZXT is provided with an 80Plus Gold rated power supply which also carries forward the 10-year warranty that some of its retail versions carry. The other component is the AIO liquid cooler and the custom shaped PCIe x16 Gen 3.0 riser cable with its ends on a PCB which carries three-year warranty each.
NZXT has a GPU clearance chat. Not an encouraging list since it lists only two GPUs- the Nvidia RTX 3070 Founders Edition and the ASUS dual RTX-3070-8G. Sure there are other RTX 3070 variants, considering the 650W recommendation. You’ll know why the support is limited to these RTX cards (which also applies to any other GPU’s dimensions).
Will angled USB connectors work for the blocked USB Panel Ports?
Really depends on the thickness of the housing of the USB connector! :(
Weird oversight, I know. Its a shame.
