For light workloads, this drive is pretty good. Those who want to shift from a mechanical drive would prefer this considering it offers different storage space variant. For gaming, SanDisk Ultra II wouldn’t disappoint. But anything more, such as heavy workloads, you would consider another option. This is also good for those who are considering upgrading their notebook storage.

If this is what they wanted to achieve with the SanDisk Ultra II. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but it will appeal to a large section of users. It is good in a way that SanDisk is addressing such crowds for starters. But the company has a lot of catching up to do, especially with other SSD makers are looking towards M.2 and PCIe NVMe storage with newer Intel 170 Series chipset motherboards supporting them, some even more than one NVMe SSDs with RAID support.
