There is a Geekbench listing of a curious new 10th generation Intel ‘Comet Lake-S’ CPU- the Core i9-10850K. This CPU is Intel’s second Core i9 SKU in this generation that was recently discovered, with the earlier one being the Core i9-10910, an Apple-exclusive processor. Why does this CPU exist remains a mystery? But it is planned and shown in Geekbench.
For the past couple of days, some leaks are from Intel. The closer to future release is the LGA-1200 based Rocket Lake-S. And engineering sample of the 11th generation 8-core/ 16-thread processor appeared in Geekbench testing.
Rumours, leaked slides and benchmarks show a strong presence of Matisse refresh Ryzen 3000 CPUs to stay ahead of the Intel Comet Lake-S CPUs that’s launched recently. While this is using the same Zen 2 platform, there’s apparently an XT variant which alleged has a better overclocking ability and higher base/ boost clock speed.
